Alicia has played 3 tournaments since the last update, all the results are up in that particular section. The next big tournament is the US Open in New York which starts on the 26th of August. Alicia has drawn Patricia Wartusch who is ranked 68th (Alicia is 80th at the moment), but if she wins that, 2nd round will probably be Venus Williams. More frequent updates as the tournament approaches. Good luck Alicia!

Alicia did fight hard against her more experienced opponent, saving match point at 2-5 and 4-5 down in the last set and nearly achieved a good win. In case you were wondering, Fox Sports showed the game live last night at around 7pm Perth time. Alicia is playing in the doubles and might be playing today, as the official site just says TBA. There is a new article about her Pierce match up, and there will be quite a few new photos and results coming in the next few days.

Alicia has been knocked out of the Bausch & Lomb Championships in the 2nd round by 6th seed Silvia Farina Elia (6-4 6-2). Alicia will be next playing at the Family Circle Cup on the 13th of the month.
